How to choose
Six questions that narrow the list.
Who does the measuring
Measured Bid and GutterCalc Pro trace the roof for you from the address. With Gutter IQ, QuoteIQ and ArcSite you draw the runs yourself. EagleView, GutterScope and RoofSnap technicians measure each house you order, and Hover needs photos taken at the house.
Which edges count
Gutters go on the edges that drain off the house. Check whether a tool keeps only those edges or measures the whole roofline, and whether runs on a lower roof get the lower story rate.
Downspouts and parts
RoofSnap and GutterScope reports count end caps and corners, and Gutter IQ counts downspouts and corners. Measured Bid counts downspouts by your rule and leaves miters and end caps to you.
Cost at your volume
Per-house reports cost $687.50 to $750 for 50 houses a month at list price. Software runs $29 (Gutter IQ Solo) to $129 (ArcSite Estimates) a month, plus your time to trace each house.
A price on your website
Measured Bid shows homeowners a gutter price range on your website. QuoteIQ does it on Elite at $299.99 a month, and InstantGutterQuotes sells a gutter widget at $99.99 a month.
What happens after the measurement
QuoteIQ, Gutter IQ, ArcSite and RoofSnap add proposals, e-signature or payments. Measured Bid prints and shares estimates and sends each lead to your CRM.
What Measured Bid is, and what it isn't
What it does
Measures each gutter run from an address and numbers it with its length. The gutter calculator does it for free.
Prices new gutters, guards on existing gutters, cleaning, removal and downspouts with your rates, per foot by story.
Shows homeowners a gutter price range on your website and sends you the lead with the runs.
Prices fascia, permanent lighting and Christmas lights from the same roofline.
What it isn't
It isn't a gutter report: there's no parts list with miters, end caps or hangers.
Its published footage test covers 9 invoiced jobs (14.2% median error), so check the runs on site.
It doesn't schedule crews, invoice or take payments; leads go to your CRM.
It needs aerial roof data for the address. When there isn't any, the widget asks for a visit instead of showing a price.
