How the tools measure
Each tool makes one lookup per house and returns the same numbers your estimates would use.
One measuring engine
Measured Bid turns those planes into gutter runs, roof area, roofline footage and wall area. The free tools call the same engine the estimates and the website widget use.
Numbers to check on site
Each result shows the imagery year and a confidence level. Older imagery and missing roof sections are flagged, and harder roofs get a lower confidence, so you know when to look harder.

FAQ
Are the tools free?
Yes. There's no account and no card. Each connection can measure up to 5 new houses an hour, because every lookup is a paid call to Google's aerial data.
Do the tools show prices?
Most show measurements only: feet, square feet, squares and counts. The Christmas light calculator also prices the roofline at a per-foot rate and minimum you type. In Measured Bid, your own rates turn the same measurements into estimates for your team and price ranges for homeowners on your website.
Where do the measurements come from?
From Google's aerial roof data for the address. Measured Bid's engine turns the roof planes into gutter runs, roof area, roofline footage and wall area. It's the same engine the estimates use.
How accurate are they?
We publish our gutter footage test on invoiced jobs. Roof and wall area haven't been tested the same way yet. Treat every number as a starting point and confirm it on site.
Do you save the addresses I measure?
Nothing you measure here is saved to an account or sent to anyone. If you start a trial from a result, the address is kept in your browser so your first estimate can start with it.
