Typical homeowner prices are $2.50 to $7 per foot of roofline, or about $500 to $1,500 for a job. Your own rates replace the sample prices in Measured Bid. Your minimum job price still applies. Set separate labor rates if you offer installation of customer-supplied lights.
Measured Bid reads aerial roof data from the address. Choose the front, front and sides, or all the way around. Roof peaks use the roof width and pitch when available. Complex peaks are estimated and flagged. Check the numbered runs and draw any missing ones.
Takedown is usually included, often with the lights and storage. Confirm what the installer includes. In Measured Bid, include install and takedown in your per-foot rate, or set a separate takedown fee. When set, it appears as Takedown after the season.
Second-story and steep rooflines typically cost about 20 to 25% more per foot. You set your own rate for each story in Measured Bid. Lower roofs use the lower story rate. An optional steep adjustment applies only to the steep share of roofline and peaks.
Book from September to early November. Most companies fill their installation dates before December.
