How to fill it out
Enter your rates once
On the Rates tab, type your installed price per square foot for each material, the height percent for 1, 2 and 3+ stories, your removal rate, your trim percent and your minimum.
Work out the wall area
Measure the wall perimeter. The side block multiplies it by the wall height and story count, adds gable-end triangles, and takes off your share for windows and doors.
Pick the material and stories
The material picks the rate and the story count picks the height adjustment. Removal uses the same net wall area as the new siding.
Add trim and anything unusual
Trim, corners and flashing are figured on the siding price including height. Use the blank lines for work you price separately.
Say how hidden damage is handled
Rotted sheathing and framing only show up after tear-off. State your price per sheet or per hour for repairs so there is no surprise.

FAQ
How do I measure a house for siding?
Multiply the wall perimeter by the wall height and the number of stories, add gable-end triangles, and take off a share for windows and doors. Siding wraps around openings, so that share is usually smaller than it is for paint. Set your own on the Rates tab.
Should the estimate include waste?
The template prices net wall area. Build waste and cut-offs into your per-square-foot rate, or add a line for it if you prefer to show it.
Can I use it for vinyl, fiber cement and engineered wood?
Yes. The Rates tab has a price for each, and the material dropdown on the Estimate tab picks one.
What about damage found during tear-off?
Put your repair price in the scope, per sheet of sheathing or per hour. Add it on a blank line once you know the quantity.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Import, and upload the .xlsx file. The formulas, dropdowns and all three tabs come with it. The CSV imports too, with the line math but without the Rates tab.
