Free fascia and soffit estimate template
This free fascia and soffit estimate template prices new fascia boards, aluminum fascia wrap and new soffit per foot at your story rate, with lower roofs a story down. Gable ends, the rakes, get fascia but no soffit, so they have lines of their own. It also has a paint-only line, tear-out of the old boards, a steep roof adjustment and your job minimum, and it totals itself. Download it for Excel or Google Sheets, print the blank PDF, or fill it in on this page.

What's in the template
The lines follow the pricing editor in Measured Bid, so the template prices a job the same way the software does.

Three tabs in the Excel file
- Estimate
- The blank estimate. Rates fill in from your price sheet and a side block works out the quantities.
- Rates
- Your price sheet: 13 rates in the order the pricing editor asks for them, with sample rates beside them for reference.
- Example
- The sample house filled in, so you can see every line working.
Fill it in and print it
Type quantities and rates and the sheet totals itself. Print it blank for a clipboard bid sheet, or filled in for the customer. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
How to fill it out
Enter your rates once
On the Rates tab, type your price per foot for new fascia boards, soffit and aluminum wrap at 1, 2 and 3+ stories, your painting rate, a removal rate if you bill tear-out on its own, and your minimum. The Estimate tab reads them from there.
Measure the eaves and the gable ends
Measure every eave: the level roof edges where gutters hang. Put eaves on a lower roof, such as a porch or an attached garage, in their own box. Then measure the sloped gable ends from the eave up to the ridge. Hip roofs have none.
Pick the job and the fascia
Choose fascia and soffit, fascia only, soffit only or paint only, then new boards or aluminum wrap. The side block puts each length on the right lines, at the right story rate. Soffit only ever takes the eaves.
Decide on the gable ends
Choose No on Include rakes when the gable ends stay as they are. The fascia, wrap and paint lines drop them. The soffit lines never had them.
Check the total and the scope
If the lines add up to less than your minimum, the total rises to it and the sheet says so. Write the board material, wrap color, soffit vents and what isn't included before you send it.
How the sample was worked out
- Eaves measured from the address
- 118 ft
- Gable ends (rakes), estimated for this roof shape
- 35 ft
- Fascia line: eaves plus gable ends
- 153 ft
- Soffit: eaves only
- 118 ft

- Which eaves and gable ends get new fascia, wrap or paint

- Soffit panel type, and whether it's vented or solid
- Footage by side of the house or by run
- What you charge if the rafter tails or sub-fascia are rotted

Measure the roofline from an address
Measured Bid measures the eaves from aerial roof data, numbers each run and adds the gable ends, then fills this same estimate with your rates, for your team in the dashboard or for homeowners on your website. On roofs with many sections the gable-end length is an estimate, and the estimate says so.
FAQ
Is this fascia and soffit estimate template free?
Yes. Download the Excel, CSV or PDF file, or fill in the sheet on this page and print it. You don't need an email address or an account.
How do I measure fascia and soffit?
Fascia runs along every roof edge: the eaves and the sloped gable ends. Soffit is the underside of the overhang, so it runs along the eaves only. Measure each eave, keep lower-roof eaves separate, and measure each gable end from the eave to the ridge.
Should I wrap the fascia or replace it?
Wrap boards that are straight and solid. Aluminum wrap covers them and ends the painting. Replace boards that are soft, split or rotted, and check the sub-fascia and rafter tails behind them. The template has its own rates for each, so you can quote both.
How do I price soffit?
Per foot of eave, at the house's story rate. Gable ends have no soffit, so the template keeps them off the soffit lines. If you charge separately for vented panels or added vents, use the blank lines.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Import, and upload the .xlsx file. The formulas, dropdowns and all three tabs come with it. The CSV imports too, with the line math but without the Rates tab.
Can I get the footage without a ladder?
Yes. Measured Bid measures the eaves from an address and adds the gable ends. On roofs with many sections the gable ends are estimated, so measure them on site before you order material.
