# Troubleshooting

Fixes for the common problems: a blank widget, a cut-off frame, a visit form where a price should be, and leads or tracking that don't arrive.

## The widget is a blank box

- The website isn't listed. Add the exact address to Websites in the widget's settings, with and without `www` if both are used. [Rules](https://measuredbid.com/docs/embed#allow).
- The site builder runs code inside its own frame (Wix, GoDaddy). The browser checks that frame too, so its address must be listed as well.
- It's a demo widget. Demo widgets only work as a direct link.
- The code went into a text block. It needs an HTML, code or embed block.

To see which address is blocked, open the page in Chrome, right-click the blank box and choose Inspect, then open the Console tab. A blocked widget shows a message like "Refused to frame 'https://measuredbid.com/' because an ancestor violates the following Content Security Policy directive: frame-ancestors". In the Elements tab, every iframe that wraps the widget has a `src`; add each one's address, such as `https://*.filesusr.com` on Wix. The Install page's check also lists sites where the widget was seen and marks unlisted ones.

## The widget is cut off or scrolls inside

- The script didn't run, so the frame never resizes. Some builders and all JavaScript frameworks drop script tags. Use the [WordPress plugin](https://measuredbid.com/integrations/wordpress) or the [React component](https://measuredbid.com/docs/embed#react).
- The builder's own frame has a fixed height (Wix, GoDaddy). Make that element about 900px tall, or use a [link or button](https://measuredbid.com/docs/embed#link) instead.

## Homeowners see a visit form instead of a price

The widget shows the visit request form (step `no_data`) when the address is outside the widget's service area, the house can't be measured from aerial imagery, or the account's trial or plan has ended. The form still takes the lead. Prices come back as soon as the plan is active.

## Leads don't reach the webhook

- Check the address follows the [webhook rules](https://measuredbid.com/docs/webhooks#addresses): https, a public domain, and no redirect.
- Your endpoint must answer within 8 seconds with a 2xx status. There is no retry, but the lead is always saved in the dashboard.
- Demo widgets never send webhooks, and leads sent in through the form leads URL aren't forwarded.

## UTM tags or click IDs are missing

- The ad has to land on the page with the widget. The embed code reads the tags from that page's address.
- With a homeowner link, the tags have to be on the link itself.
- The WordPress plugin sends the page's permalink as `ref`, without its query string. UTM tags and click IDs are still passed.

## Settings changes don't show
